I can't find it. (:(

It's not under software or downloads.

I have logged off and on again.
Stardock updated itself this morning.

OK, I like the sound of most of the changes, not so sure about the Combat Transport defense nerf. Will help me when I'm on offense, but in the absence of a decent defensive ship past battleaxes, I've used Combat Transports for that role. Apparently I'm not the only one, and you didn't want that...

Combat transports are tougher now, not nerfed. But when they're actually in orbit they are weak. They're not meant to defend planets.

Marq: Refresh won't do the job... you gotta restart SDC... I made the same fault and just posted in the other thread that the patch still was not out just before I found this one...

is the list current with version 1.12?

I can't get the update because the latest update to SDC has caused it (SDC) to crash to desktop while starting.

Worked fine while auto-updating last week.

HELP!

Just tried the 1IP. Can confirm that it is fixed. :)

It crashes before printing anything to the screen. It clears the screen and draws a blank SDC background then does a CTD.

Doesn't even register in Smart Exception.

Elrikk - email [email protected] he is working on that issue now. We are not sure what causes it. We have not been able to reproduce that.

Yes, the data files and the file lists are with today's update.

Elrikk: have you installed PaintShop Pro? That caused my SDC to crash when I installed it. I had to re-install SDC.  You don't need to uninstall Gal Civ or anything else if you need to re-install SDC.

Do they still carry population while in orbit? It's alredy easy to depopulate worlds by killing the combat transports in orbit, and if the CTs now have no defenses that makes it even easier.

CariElf,

Just did, as you suggested, and got the SDC install off the download page and installed over the original install.

Ran SDC and it auto-installed the updates ok this time.

The only thing I did differently was that this time I didn't let the program restart itself. I said "no" and then closed it and reran it myself.

All is well now. Got GalCiv 1.12 :)

Thanks again.

Elrikk
