To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

If wishes were fishes we could all eat.

Do you wish you were Immortal?

I have always had a desire to be immortal, like the highlander, without having to play the game.

Frell that “there can be only one crap”

Imagine all you could see and experience? To be 5000 years old today, what a dream or nightmare.

To have seen the birth of Christ, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, to talked with Socrates and other great thinkers.

Anyone else ever had this thought?

This could be a fun non-partisan discussion…. Maybe.

Immortality could be nice, but it would have it's drawbacks too. If everyone was immortal it would be crazy, if only you then you get to watch everyone you care about grow old and die as you live on. Imagine the pain you could experience, or the problems you could get into. Buried alive for a thousand years or some similar mess. But, even with those potential drawbacks, I'd like to be immortal. Always alive, learning more and knowing that even if you don't learn something today, there is always always tomorrow.

Crazy would not be the word to describe the chaos that would ensue. Much like the Highlander and his kind, we would all have to behead each other to survive! The over-population of our globe would be too much to think about. Although it is an interesting thought, alas, I don't think I would like to be that way. It would be too much experiencing the pain of this world. I'm way too sensitive in that respect. It's hard enough already seeing the pain that's happening right now.

I do not want everyone to be Immortal.. just me.. heh heh heh and If you were immortal I think you would evole upwards to be above all petty things mankind has to deal with. Also I said No game playing, I do not like the thought of having to kill others to remain alive {altho I would}

I myself would not mind being immortal with stipulations lol..there would have to be no diseases, no pain, no wars, everyone living peacefully as one, no children wanting for food, shelter or love. Hmmm do you think we could have all that??
