Welcome to Thoughtless Thoughts

my first blog ever

So, since my thoughts are thoughtless and my husband commonly known on this site as "BlueDev" is insisting I blog with him (actually I don't really mind, I'm just really dumb and didn't know how to go about it), I shall now proceed to write my first blog with the really long sentences that comprise most of my writing (except lists, of course... you know: grocery and to do). Its pretty pathetic that all my brain can hold right now is one nonsensical sentence, but I am pregnant (that is the ultimate excuse for everything at the moment) and suffer from mommy brain most of the time. I don't know what mommy brain is exactly, but for me, its what your mind experiences after it has been exposed to large amounts of 2 year old screaming in a short period of time and when it finally stops, the sounds echo in your head for hours afterward, impairing any sort of ability you may have to think, or complete a sentence, or carry on any kind of adult conversation. This can also happen with 5-year-old whining as well. The results are the same.

Okay, so this concludes my first blog ever. (It can't just be "my first blog"). The ever is very important (comparable to the 1/2 of a 5 and 1/2 year-old). I hope that no one's IQ drops from reading these ramblings.

Hey babe! I know you know this, but I just wanted to be your first comment and say how excited I am that you decided to start a blog. You rock!

Hey there. I think I've got mommy-brain right now. It's colder than anything outside, the car hasn't started for 2 days because of it, and my daughter and I have been holed up in our tiny apartment for more than 48 hours. Did I mention that she talks incessantly?
I can't believe I'm about to write this, but here goes: I can't wait to go to work tomorrow.
Anyway, enough about me. Welcome to Joeuser! It's nice to see you around.

Even though it wasn't snowy, my 5-year-old didn't have school on Thursday or Friday and by Friday at noon, I think we both had had enough of each other! Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome!!!

Great first blog, I think I permanently suffer from Mummy-brain and I could definitely relate to pregnancy brain-which I found was quite similar to mummy brain. My 14month old has decided to enter the terrible twos early She's now walking confidently and throws tantrums when she has to go into the pram.
She also throws tantrums when I clean up her mess, take her away from her toys to change her nappy, and try and give her any type of food or drink. FUN!

I look forward to hearing more from you as I do so love to read the anecdotes your husband writes.

*I just had to edit like 5 spelling mistakes due to mummy-brain

Good, now I have an excuse for the several point drop in that IQ test I just retook. (I'm getting dumber. It's documented.) You'll be hearing from my lawyer.

My mother's excuse for "mommy brain" is that she put everything into me and forgot to save some for herself. (I'm not sure I buy that.)

Anyway, a hearty welcome to JU from "Random Thoughts" to "Thoughtless Thoughts!" I hope you enjoy whatever time you manage to break away from the kiddies and spend here.

Thanks everyone for the overwhelmingly warm welcome! Having never blogged before, I think I had this idea that everyone on-line is cold and mean and ready to rip anyone apart at the drop of a hat behind their anonymity. I'm glad ya'll proved me wrong! Thank you again.
