Staying and Moving

Some more Zen…

Moving and staying are the most basic decisions you will have to make every day, right? Here is a common question most people ask themselves on a Saturday morning, “Should I get up right now and go (“Go” referring to “moving”) or should I STAY in bed”.

*Staying where you are gives you the feeling of a home, security. You don’t want change. But, you never experience anything new.

*Moving means you want adventure, to “move on”. You want to explore something new. But, it seems to make you more vulnerable.

A little off topic, but have you ever thought about where the term ”emotion” derived from? Emotion… psychic motion, the changes in how you feel…

Anyway… the choices you make with moving or staying are the basis for everything. You chose to get a cup of coffee because you want to move on with the day, and not be tired. You want to stay in bed this morning because you are really sick, and “moving” to work would spread it to other people.

Life is not a destination, it’s a journey. And the staying and moving you in your physical, mental, and emotional life will determine where you’ll be tomorrow. So…

Do you want a firm foundation?

Or do you want a new adventure?

The choice is yours.

Captain Planet..... THAT'S AWESOME!!!i actually remember watching that when i was litle!

Anyways..... you're right, an adventure is always fun.

Those who chose to be safe lost their chance at ever knowing...

Which gives me a new article idea!

We can have an inner (spiritual) foundation and have both. The foundation within us is infinitely secure. The road to mastery lies in awakening to this truth, and then aligning our attitudes with it. We can then be a more secure and peaceful person.

Very true.  True happiness will never come from possessions (which a house is).  It comes from inner peace and the ability to be at home no matter where the road of life takes you.  Contentment that derives from knowing when to be content is eternal contentment.
