When life gives you lemons, make lemonade... but you have no sugar or a pitcher to make it in?

When your employer is clearly corrupt in how they handle business and their own employees, do you stay and work, go with the 'flow'? Do you stand up for what is right?


Is the 'system' set up to mess you up? Get sued for something that you own and have the right to sell (like software)?

I don't really think the system is set up to screw you around but it not perfect either and can certainly make you pay when its not your fault (while others get away clear).

Ok man i understand that you probably are in a difficult possision despite the lack of certain elements and details.Promise not to tire you much cause i aint no preacher and i dont have much experience in life.Some simple questions:

a.Do you have family to support?
b.Can you get another job that equally ensures your and your family's survival?

If yes on both then just quit and make your stand,don't lie and live with your head up.

If not just protect you and your family.Survival is a much stronger instinct than any other.I value morality very much,but survival always comes first.About the regrets there shouldn't be any,if you truly can't make it without this job just lie.But don't confuse real need with false needs.This is a matter that you will resolve yourself.But if you can do make a point ot of it,do try to fight the system from the inside.It's the best way to be done,play with the system,go along and when you hold on to a strong position then you defy it and try to make the changes you wanted to.Remember a revolution:
a. Is never personal.
b. Is never unorganised.
c. Always has its casualties.

But i guess deep down its a matter of your own and we all guys:
a.Talk based upon our current experience,thus we don't provide 100% truths.
b.Don't face the exact same situation,thus we deal it from a safe position and none of the implications or consequences will ever affect us,nor will we be held responsible for your acts.Personally i'd be ashamed of myself if i ruined to the ground a human's life just because i wanted him to be something i aint or something i wanted him to be.I would be prood he made his stand,but ashamed for ruining his life.

Just to clarify - I do "practice what I preach", and I have a bit of experience on both sides of this dilema.

If family is involved, then by all means weigh that responsibility into the equation, and of course get their input so you can feel good about your decision if this is indeed a personal situation versus a philisophical discussion.

not well said. You're a philosopher so you know the lifeboat question. In that equation, I just died to save another. You think I'm all talk, you don't know me. This life is temporal at best.

Now put a loved one in the mix and I get messed up. I might do the dishonest thing to feed my child (if I had one). I definitely would. At that Point I am rationalizing the lesser of two evils.

I am not a philosopher and i'm only 20 years old,i study at university History and Archaelogy,so i can't be so full of experience like all you guys.I do respect you and your opinion,if i said something that you find demising i apologize.About the part that i don't know you,you're right i don't and i don't know how anyone would confront/react in a situation like this,i just express what my common logic seems to consider as correct.I don't know if this can be seen as youth flame and imprudence,but on the other hand it's no use trying to make excusses.
