Donna Lewis has redeemed herself. She has returned to her specialty: singing heartfelt, gushy songs about the people she loves dearly in her life. This time, she’s singing about how wonderful her mother is in Mother.
A music box introduces the song, while the rest of the music is based on an orchestra. The orchestra, however, creates a peaceful, safe atmosphere. Donna Lewis then reinforces the atmosphere with her appreciative lyrics: “Everlasting faith, everlasting love is the greatest gift you have/Believing, understanding me.” Here, her voice is grateful and pleasant. She works with her perpetual optimistic voice and creates a song that plays up her strengths.
