using constructors

Many ppl have been complaining about constructor management in late games.An easy way around this is to construct several at one planet and launch them all at same time.Hit the fleet button to stack them and then send them to wherever you need.This helps to speed up game and minimizes the waiting for all of them to move.Send 4 or 5 at one time and do all upgrades in one turn when they reach their destination.

Ps PanGaea would love any new or would be converts to join our Empire of pleasure.

As I posted in another thread, another easy way of doing it is simply to build hordes of constructors, then center the screen on your target for building the SB and use the blue arrows in the fleet panel to send as many as you need. Then move to another location, rinse and repeat.

And if you're looking for an empire to join, come help the MWC put those pirates and ringworms in their places, behind us ;)

You can do it that way but then you are waiting for each individual constructor to move as I like to watch where they move to see whats happening in that part of space.Your way works but when 40 or 50 constructors are moving then game can slow considerably in middle or late game on larger maps.

My way may be a bit less orderly and it may take a bit longer to churn the turns, but it is a lot easier to do IMHO :P

I'm glad many ppl have their own preferances.I was just trying to help minimize the micromanagement of constructors for some players that hate this particular aspect of the game.Some ppl love to micro manage and others don't.
The first tme I experimented with the blue button,I wasn't exactly sure how to use it and launched about 50 ships and wound up trying to stop half of them.
:sniff!: But the next time I realized that only use it for several at a time and worked much better. :)
I'm glad to view others responces as I still have much to learn and hope this post will help newbies and veterans alike.

I only follow my ships in the ealy part of game while in scouting and colonizing mode.

After that I turn it off and once i turn follow ai's on aly when I'm at war.

I also use the tactical map extensivly. I'm sure my F9 key is being worn down.

Now that i have the expansion pack i think my x key is also going to have a break down.

I try to follow because you never know who is plotting what and where the wars are.Once the resource has a starbase on it and I didn't write down the coordinates,this helps for respotting them,because they disappear off the maps once built upon.

I just place one of my consturctors nearby so that i can see when they disband it.. or it gets destroyed..

Also.. if you have set the folloe ships option turned off.. and you move to an area of the map that isn't displaying any ships then the game actually runs through the movement and AI phases of the game a lot quicker.

Blue: I just open up the diplo or tech screen to click through turns without waiting for the view to show all the ships doing their business ;)

I like create a central rally point and send all of my constructors there automatically. This gives me huge pool of dozens of constructors right where I expect them to be. I then fleet them up and distribute them as needed -- kind of like an airline hub.

It's not as efficient for the crew of the constructors because of all the extra traveling they do, but it makes my turn manegment way more efficient.
