Lots of new stuff..

http://www.objectdock.com

ObjectDock & ObjectDock Plus 1.1 are now available! ObjectDock is a freeware program launcher and task manager that is highly configurable in how they look and feel. ObjectDock Plus adds tabbed docks, multiple docks, fly-out menus and other features.

New in ObjectDock / ObjectDock Plus 1.1:

  • Zooming tabbed docks (icons in tabbed docks can now zoom).
  • You can now always resize tabbed docks from corners
  • Can now run on limited user accounts
  • Supports WinKey+D now (show desktop no longer hides ObjectDock if it's set to always on bottom or top)
  • Unicode support
  • Multiple language support (see files in \lang directory)
  • Standard docks adjust themselves properly on screen resolution change.
  • Auto-hide sensitivity options added for standard docks
  • Folder menu items with &'s in them now supported
  • Many other minor tweaks

This has happened to me with every upgrade of OD+, anyway to prevent from losing all your work? (I'm just too scared to upgrade now!)

I just downloaded the newest version, via Stardock Central, and it installed a whole other OD/OD+ into a new directory (Program Files/Object Dock). My other (original) one is still located in Program Files/Stardock/Object Dock). The new version is still showing the same apps and tabs as the original one, but icons and dock skin are all different now.

I went back to SDC and uninstalled it from there. I'll try again after uninstalling my current version.

When you have your docks configured the way you want, save them as a theme. The updates do not delete themes. If you want to be extra careful, make a copy of the theme folder so if it does get emptied you can always replace the contents.

Cant you change the calendar image?

Right-click on the calendar, choose configure. You can change the image from there. New image should be a png file.

Losing the theme always happens when You quit ObjectDock before updating. Never do that. Same happens with RightClick btw.

Another question : Is multiple language support only implemented in Plus and will it stay that way ???

I like the zooming on the tabbed dock but I do wish we had the ability to control the size of the zoom.

This is great! Finally I can Win+D key back to my desktop and still use OD+!

here's another great irony: I'm so glad I payed for OD+ seperately! My Object Desktop Subscription just recently ran out, but I can still get this update because it was a seperate purchase.

imagine that...someone actually thrilled to have had to buy a seperate license.

Very nice =D

I still would deeply appreciate the possibility
to use different icons instead of regular tabs as "tabs".

Keep up the good work

doh, I'm kinda dissapointed thats the "zoomed" tabbed docks are so limited, it's nothing like the normal docks which really magnify it and affect the surrounding icons, this just makes the single icon you're on get about 4 pixels bigger >_< still, it's better than it was and i'm mucho more happy

PROBLEM:
I just set up a normal magnify dock and Win+D made it dissappear.
The tabbed dock stayed, which is cool... but no the the normal dock.

don't worry yet, go into dock settings under "general" and click the "advanced options" button, the option is in the very first check box, also it only works on docks set to "always on top" or "always on bottom". So make sure that box is checked, the dock is set to either always top or bottom and it says it may require a reboot to make changed settings take effect =D

Ok. Idiot moment. I do remember seeing that option. It was late. I hit panic instead. LOL.

It's too bad that it has to work in conjunction with the Always on Top setting. I finally can use a dock on the right of my screen without it interfearing with my fullscreen window scroll bars, but it I set it to always on top, I won't even be able to use the scroll bars at all.

OH well.

might show up in another update, I don't see why they limited it to only those two, but I never use win+d either

One little glitch in the newest update. When you mouse over icons in the tabbed docks that are close to the top the icon image edge remains on the tab until you click on another tab. But as soon as you mouse over another icon it does it again.

I've been playing with the Maxthon browser. When you move your mouse pointer to its tab bar you can use your scroll wheel to move through the tabs. That would be a very cool feature to add to OD+. Then you could access anything on your tabbed dock with just one click Another thing a skinner would be able to do is make a background that has "hidden" tabs since you would not need to click on them
