serial = cd key?

I JUST got the game, and I mean, like 2-4 hours ago and I just got home now, and when I just tried to install it, it had asked for a serial number. The first thing I put in was the GalCiv CD-Key on the back of the CD case, only to see that its the incorrect one for this installer. I'm not sure if there is another serial number somewhere else in the boxes contents, but could it be that the cd was put in the wrong case by the store I purchased it from?

it should be but make sure that a capital o isn't the number 0 and i instead of 1

That's the right one, James.

Try replacing your o and 0. Your 1, i and l.
It's easy to mix those up.

Heh. I think I might have did that o with 0 thing by accident. I took it back and got another copy instead. This one worked, now, only gotta figure out why it just crashed
