Well the "waiting game" blew up in my face when I hit a huge recession and my economy went into free fall. Had to start over.

But when I did, applying the lessons I'd learned made a big difference. This time, all the major aliens were scrunched up with me in the top center; I simply colonized *around* them. I hadn't even colonized more than two thirds of the gigantic map before I won a cultural victory. This took two gaming sessions in under 24 hours. I don't think anyone would want me to submit to the metaverse seeing as it was a Cakewalk game. But thanks to everyone for their help.

Currently I'm working on a totally evil conquer the universe muhahahaha game. Question; does an evil alignment in any way hurt morale?

Why would anyone mind? It's your score and you should submit it if you want it on record. It's probably worth a couple thousand points even though it's Calkwalk.

There isn't any direct relationship between alignment and morale. In fact, you can probably improve morale by picking some evil colonization choice.

No shame in starting off on cakewalk. None at all. A lot of player records show a steady progression from a low level to a higher level where the player eventually tapers off at, or even eases back down a notch or two after that peak into a sweet spot of preferred difficulty. Show us what you got.

My first game was a Cakewalk. Hell, I had to learn how to play the game (manual...I don't need no stinkin' manual!), and it took hours to play (actually days)! You played it, you deserve credit for it.

I have a couple of very low scoring Cakewalks. I also have a very high scoring one. There is nothing wrong with submitting any game, be it easy or hard.
