Help won't let me read skins

Alrighty, I download a skin where it says, " download theme from internet" and I get it click on it, and my computer won't read it, does anyone know what I need to be able to read it? Thanks a lot

You have to give us a little more then that.....you can't download it or it won't install??

yes it probably is something small but you need to add a little more info so people can help. The more information you can add the better.

What type of theme are you trying to download?
Are you trying to download via the skincast option?
Do you have the correct software to run the type of theme you are downloading?
Are you using stardock central?

I can download it fine. Then I open it and it asks me what program to run cause it can't read it.
It wont work on any skin that i've tried.
I am using the skins that are on this site and on the xptheme.com ones

Do you have the appropriate programs installed? e.g Bootskin Editor and CursorXP?

for a windowblinds theme you need the program called windowblinds
for a icon packager theme you need the program icon packager
for bootskins you need the program bootskin
for logons you need the program logonstudio
for cursor xp you need the program cursor xp

Do you see the pattern forming?

At the top of each library for each individual "type" of theme you want you will see a link to the corresponding software. Click that. Some software is free, some is not. The software that is not free is worth every penny. With each program comes instructions on how to install and use themes of each program.
