How little we are...

How little we are...

First of, if you don't believe in the Bing Bang and Evolution, skip this thread and go to the next one.  This is not meant as a religious debate. Open your Adam and Eve thread and I promise not to butt in it.

I'm serious...

Now, I'm sure a lot of you have already heard of the cosmic calendar, but it still amazes me to think how little we are in the history of the universe. Basically if we condensed all the history of the universe into one single year, where the Bing Bang happened one the first second of January 1st and today being midnight sharp on 31st December, all our known history only happened in the last 15 seconds. Wow...

Check this link out for more details: here.

The science of the topic dictates keeping to that, science.

God and Religion might only be two words, but they are two words used to lable two of the main reasons for death and war in human history...

I also think that in an over all look at the subject, myth, mythology, theology, philosophy, science and even the odd rantings of crack pots such as L Ron Hubbard would have to all be taken into consideration without a doubt

The thing I would really like to see most is a parting of the ways on thread bushwhacking which has historically taken place on many different topics, mainly.

To consider one specific area of a major topic is good, but to hold ones self to only one path of reasoning is limiting, doing the person and the complexity of social cognition injustice to say the least.

and it definitely lends to hanging blinders on ones head by ones own hands...

anyway...

Mr. Paxx, Mr. IPlural, and anyone else that thinks I was trying to start a contoversy on this thread by what I posted, I apologize. I'm sorry if you all took it as an attempt to start a debate. I wasn't trying to cause a problem, please excuse me. And just for the record here, I believe that when the universe began, there probably was a Big Bang sound....I just happen to believe that it started from a different reason than the evolutionists do! And, I really would like to know how evolution explains why caterpillers & worms turn into butterflies and moths! I just think it would be interesting to hear, ya know? So, does anybody know the answer to that, please and thank-you?

/me will now go away and not bother you folks anymore in here. Bye!
