2 Things: The spelling of the word 'Building' and games for adults

Ok... I am a weird guy. Everyone knows that (and yet I still get the ladies!!!!)

So here is my issue. I like to spell 'building' as this:
Biulding.

I like the way it looks and its far cooler than 'building'. I also have grave feelings about how the word 'Wednesday' is spelled. And don't get me started on January. I was upset for a few weeks because I had to spell January in a log book.




Second subject: Adult Games

I heard that the new 'in' thing to do is play Dodge Ball! that's right Dodge Ball. I LOVE DODGE BALL!!!!

I happen to think its the greatest game ever right behind that game where you have to toss a ball around to each other but when you catch it and toss it to the next person, you have to be in the air.

Anybody played Dodge Ball lately? There is an on-line groups for it and there might be a national league for it too.

In Oz, 'pop' is the sound a balloon makes when it argues with a pin...or what Britney sings.....'soda' is usually preceded by 'caustic' and it cleans drains...

Aw, Mr. Jafo! Balloons go "pop" here too! And, I have boxes of baking soda stored in my fridge to make it smell better inside it!

Have you ever had an ice cream soda? My Mom's first job as a 16 yr. old was working in a soda fountain and she taught me how to make them....boy, are they good! Can't find them sold hardly anywhere now....pity one of life's better tastes....a chocolate ice cream soda. Yummy!

So I took the wheel covers off the wife's Liberty the other day to clean the rims and notice that imprinted on the inside of the covers were the words "alloy alternative". Apparently "alloy alternative" is another phrase for "made of plastic"

But I thought you were Dutch. If you are Dutch, doesn't (in "proper" Dutch) the E in front of the IJ make the difference to pronounce it as in (english) hay, bay, play, say ??Of course, if you speak one of the gazillions of Dutch or Flemish dialects, all bets are off !Just curious...


I can see your point. I live a few miles away from amsterdam (I live in haarlem), so I think I can say that I speak ABN (the way dutch SHOULD be )

I just would pronounce it as Myer because in that case you still have the sound of the dutch IJ. (for example: my, lying... notsure but that is the closest I can bring it to english...)
