wba problem

I tried to download a skin (wba) and a window opened, to ask me 'what I want to use' to open this type of file. I stupidly clicked 'explorer' and 'don't show me this anymore'.

Very stupid. Now if I try to download a skin my browser goes crazy and I cannot down a skin. How do I change this.

What should I have clicked when it asked me what I wanted to use for a wba file?

Please help. Thank you.

Control Panel/Folder Options/File Types...scroll down to .WBA extension and point to Window Blinds or right click on downloaded WB Skin and click 'Open with' and point to Window Blinds.

Thank you very much for answering me but I cannot find it. I am using windows 98. I go to the 'control panel' and none of the icons say Folder Options. Sorry I am not hardware savvy.

I looked through Display and I looked through Internet Options.

OK I found it. I have it set to open with "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\wbconfig.exe"

but it does not go to window blinds. I don't know where it goes. sorry.

The file you need to point to is C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\wbload.exe

simply Single Click on wba file, then hold shift key and right click...from menu choose Open With....if wblinds is not there then click on Others browse to path specified above....

Curious...... why hold the shift key? The right click menu comes up without it.

OK, I did that and when I try to download it says 'there appears to be no uis file included' then it closes.

GRR this is very frustration cause they use to self install. I didn't have to do anything.

By the the way no matter what instructions I follow here they are not installing or loading anywhere in wb, so I give up.

I have bothered you nice people enough and I will just use the few skins that are included in wb.

Thank you so much.

Chick when all else fails why not delete WB and reinstall?

When mine started going crazy, instead of downloading the normal way I would right click on the word download and "save target as" to my desktop. Then all I had to do was right click on my desktop, go to properties and appearances and click add, then go to the wb file that was saved to my desktop. It worked for me!
