Weather Alerts

Has anyone created a DesktopX object that looks for weather alerts? I have an Adware program (weatherbug) I would like to get rid of, but I really like the fact that it has weather alerts. I see that the National Weather service has alerts in xml (http://www.nws.noaa.gov/alerts/). I could probably do the coding myself, but I have no artistic ability.

Anyone up for the chalenge?

These guys send you an email promptly when there's a weather alert, national alert, etc. Not DesktopX but an option.

It is really skewed because I got 5 mbs of spam and have not a chance to set up spamassasin on the account yet, I would be very willing to help becuase this would be great for in Maine, when I am there
