I've decided to keep a diary. Here's last week...
Monday
Been ill so I took today off work. At least it will give me a chance to fill in this market research form I have. Last week our marketing dept had us testing a revolutionary new soap. Not only does it clean and freshen but it exfoliates too!
My Doctor says the rash will clear in a week or two but the psoriasis may be permanent…
Tuesday
Last week we all had the news of a management cost cutting exercise, which would mean all experienced staff being made redundant. Apparently if they employ office juniors in our place the salary bill is cut by a factor of four.
Today I’m supposed to be showing Flossie my IT duties. That’s put on hold temporarily while Flossie attends a week long training course entitled “How to use your mouse”
Wednesday
Having a night in to see what being sober is like. After an evening counting spiders (didn’t know this house had so many), I’ve decided being sober is very sobering.
At least I have some time to play with my new bluetooth phone. Apparently it can connect to anything anywhere – wow! The best feature is the new games. One is like Asteroids except it uses Space Shuttles to shoot down satellites.
Thursday
Got arrested and taken to Scotland Yard today. Looks like I may be charged with causing an international incident. I don’t know what the hell they’re on about – I’ve never even been abroad.
Finally get home having been released on bail only to find the tv not working. Apparently last night’s terrorist attacks took out a number of satellites, including Sky TV – damned Al Qaeda…
Friday
Back to the Doctors today. Seeing as there was no tv last night, I went to a 70s disco. The doc says I’ll be able to walk ok in a few days but the tight trousers will have to be removed surgically. He did say I’d probably be unable to have children though, which he says in my case may not be a bad thing. Huh?
Still have the rash.
