Blue bar blocking screen

After today's update a bar object is covering top of the home screen. It persists in all other accessible screens. Clicking on bar doesn't clear and the buttons behind the bar can be clicked but some options appear to be missing.

No mods are activated and an installed file validation check was clean.

UPDATE

Uninstalled Sins2 through Steam, deleted residual folders, then reinstalled. Now working OK. Possible it was an issue with my file structure or that there is a bug in the updater?
