Desktop icons very slow to select and drag and drop mostly fails

Windows 11 version 25H2 OS build 26200.9168 

Multiple monitor setup, was working well until this 

Below issues with fences 6 following windows 11 monthly update

Actions

Benchmarks normal results. Virus and Malware scans OK. SSD checks OK. sfc /scannow OK

Then:

Restarted Windows Explorer, and cleared icon cache, restarted 

Purged Fences using Statdock BAT purge file.

Most recent Fences 6.5.2. downloaded and reinstalled. Verified that this is the most up to date version.

Issues goes away when fences is DISABLED

Desk top normal for about 1 minute after restart then issues appear

Issues on the desktop 

Double click to open folder icon mostly fails sometimes generates a system error message: "System Call Failed

double click on a document icon : cursor with hourglass spins for about 1 minute then times out

Desktop icons very slow to select and drag and drop on desktop: mostly fails

Note: it appears to be a desktop UI issue. in open folders, selection, drag and drop, and opening documents and applications works normally.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe this is known issue on some system. Please update to Fences v6.54 . Refer here: https://forums.stardock.com/542163/fences-6-54-beta-feedback/page/1#3996839

Changes to resolved performance issue related to moving groups and icon animations.
