Progress Bar question

I got my boot screen up and working but I am have a slight prob with the progress bar. The dots runs across the bar ok but part of it "sticks" in the right end of the white outline. The dark part of the dots stay and looks as if the end of the bar on the boot screen wasn't finished. I have noticed this with other boot screens that I have downloaded from this site. What causes this?

A better question would be, "How can this be fixed?" Anyone?

The problem with the way that the progress bar runs on BootSkin is that it starts about 10 pixels from the left and ends about 10 pixels from the right. That is why you must make the outline about 20 pixels wider than the progress bar

On a somewhat related question...

I have bootskin installed on a Win2k Pro PC and a WinXP Pro machine. On the Win2k PC the progress bar is decidedly 'jerky' in it's, well, progress. It appears to stop then skip back & forwards almost randomly.

On WinXP it's smooth as a baby's...

Is this a known problem? The Win2k PC is a P4M 1.7G (laptop) and the WinXP is a P4 2.6G desktop so the difference isn't all that big (?).
