I posted a skin at the GUIO last week and it skipped the new entry list completely. It started on Page 2.It definateley has not gotten it's fair time for public viewing

An important thing to note here is that with the GUIO submissions in particular it will make exactly ZERO difference where the skin turns up in a list.....provided it is simply submitted PRIOR to the cut-off date.

It matters not one iota who gets to see it ....just so long as those who judge it do...

As for normal uploads....their 'time' in the new submissions list is dependent on two factors....whether the category is one which is limited in that list...eg Dock Icons [no-one wants to see a bunch of individual icons pushing actual WB skins off the list]...and just how many other skins, etc were 'released' at the same time.....something which is essentially down to lady luck....

I just want to know if anyone has any tips on how to manipulate the system!!

I do, pay us admins some Benjamins on the side and we'll be sure to put your skins through the seconde they appear.

I have an idea - upload the skin with only half the stuff skinned, and then update it to the new improved wizzy fully formed version a few days after it first appears....that way you'll probably double your download count Of course, you'll also annoy a load of people and probably get a bad reputation, as well as incurring the wrath of the admins and eventually become a pariah...but what the hey, you'll be on the newest additions list for a bit longer

Thanks guys, For once I made sense enough for you guys to understand me.

Jafo, Its good that you guys have figured out a fair system. I understand that it will never be perfect and somethings will get a little of track. It is no big deal whatsoever. I was just hoping for some insight from everyone. As far as my skin at GUIO, I know it doesn't matter where it gets posted there but I was just using it as an extreme example of "when moderation goes bad". Just a joke.

I am new to all of this so If my question seeed like a rant, I didn't mean it that way. I just want to blend in and not stir any feathers whatsoever. Its all good.
