Taskbar Icon Background Issue

Taskbar Icon Background has Ghost when two windows are open

I have recently noticed that if I have two, or more, windows of an app open, the taskbar icon background has a ghost background.

I have tested this with the Enhanced taskbar on, and with it off. The ghost background appears in both. I have also deactivated Start11v2 using Start10tweak, and the ghost background still appears.

I don't believe this is a Start11 issue, but I'm interested if anyone else is experiencing this phenomenon.

Is this a new Windows feature or a bug?

That looks normal to me.

Thats how it indicates the button has > 1 window linked to it.  This has been how it has looked since forever I think?

Thanks for the reply. I’m glad to know this is the expected taskbar behavior, I just never noticed it before. As a test, I purged Start11v2 today and sure enough, this behavior is part of Windows 11.

Again, thanks for letting me know.
