Pink Skins!

Blue is a more standard color and the majority of people think it has more appeal, that is why you see so many of them. If you look at the pink and purple skins you'll notice they have low download counts, maybe that is why authors dont make many of them.

Personally I don't not make a pink skin because I fear it won't be downloaded, it's just that I don't really like pink that much. I make skins that appeal to me, sorry about that

You can easily tint any skin you want. Go to display properties where you install your skins. You will see a litlle box that will allow you to tint the overall theme. The important thing is too change it back when you use a diff skin. Hope this helps. I will be doing a Gemini skin soon that will be a light purple. Maybe that will suit your needs.

An extra point which I think might lead to fewer pink skins is that "magic pink" translates to transparent, and hence any skin using various shades of pink has to be careful to avoid accidentally including that in the wrong places.

Over all though, I agree with Tiggz - I wouldn't make a pink skin because I wouldn't like it myself....that said, my 1st skin was fairly purple and I do tend to like that.

there's actually a good number of pink or pink hued skins, just have to lookfor them.(in windowblinds anyway)

PirateOS by Alexandrie at the GUIOlympics has a Pink Substyle

Like a red skin, one needs to be very carefull making one as to not overpower with bright "in your face" colouring

The first WB skin I'm planning for a GUI Olympics submission is going to be primarily pink. I agree that there isn't enough pink/purple skins, most seem to skin to a tried and true color spectrum. But screw tried and true, it can't lead to anything interesting. I'm have about 45-55% complete of my icon package for the olympics. Should be finishing it up, hopefully by the 5th. After that I'll be frantically working on the WB skin.

I have a pink skin in my library. Wait until I update it about a month from now.

There is also a very nice Pink skin by Starving Artist. The name of the skin is Sakura.

there's mullberry,storm(lavender),bed of roses,circular(a newer one white with pink and lavender accents),cp13(pale pink),cp9(lavender),damask(dark pink salmon colored),euphoria(dusky rose),flora(mostly green but with flowers),niceesoft(pinks andlavenders),prism(metallic with pink accents),tiffany(multicolored, with pink purple blue green),valentine(pink).
most of the ones I've named are older, and will work with the newest release of wb, but many won't have the newest features of wb.(it'll skin it but the fancy animations etc won't be there)
so there's quite a few pink if you know where to look. just do a search for any of the names listed.
