Task bar icons get covered up when hovering to select

Texy dispaly for icons cover button, can't click.

Hi there

When I hover over the taskbar icons at the top of the screen, the text description covers the button. It's like being at the gun range and trying to hit the center of the target and every time you aim, something covers the target. It's a crap shoot whether or not you're going to hit it. :p

Ideas?  Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Thanks for all the specification, but, we actually need your Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Use Windows own Winver.exe to get these numbers.

Thank you,

Oky-Doky!

Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7462)

I should mention, I just noticed, once the option is open and active, and remains active, it won't be covered. If it's closed, it happens again.  8|

Strangely, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Same Windows 11 version and OS Build numbers as yours.

Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

Enabling enhanced taskbar would almost certainly avoid this issue.

What problems are you having with enhanced taskbar?  That is the strongly recommended option when using taskbar not at the bottom.

Where do I start?  This time the icons on the taskbar started blinking, making the rest of the icons near the taskbar (on the desktop) blinking. The taskbar's appearance (showing) at the top of the screen is inconsistent, although on average it shows when I move the cursor to the top (I have it on autohide in S11, and yes, turned off autohide in Windows). And of course, this problem, text covering the button and unable to click, unless the option is already open.  And yep, when I uninstall S11 it all goes away.

Fences is working great though! That's a plus!

Thanks!

I wish it worked like that. And I tried that. Worked for a couple minutes then started again.  I'm removing/reinstalling it now. Will restart and   record the steps I make to set it up (with the enhanced taskbar).

Also, need to know if you have any other application that add or change your Explorer and/or taskbar? Application such as OpenShell, ExplorerPatcher, Windhawk etc.

Thank you,
