Start11 is disappointing

I have been very disappointed in Start11 (2.53). It started with the lack of support for proxy.pac Internet access (something practically every modern Windows program works correctly with) which meant I couldn't use the trial version easily, and that the updates check don't work.

It seemed okay when I was migrating to my new computer with one monitor, but once I set it up with two monitors and tried using it all the time, it was very fragile. Installing DisplayFusion caused bad issues until I manually updated Start11 to 2.56, then it was somewhat better.

But it still has issues like Open Windows Start Menu with Right Windows Key not working when gpedit.msc has focus, essentially no documentation on Start Menu types, no jump lists on Start Menu icons (Windows 11 styles), no way to move tabs between groups, poor icon spacing without any way to adjust, dragging sometimes causing groups to vanish and then re-appear, and a lot of issues that end with "I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience." with no follow-up for years. (How can I edit my tabs and groups to have the same background color?)

I appreciate how inexpensive it is, and how it attempts to improve on Windows 11 terrible defaults, but it feels like it is less polished than Windows 11 in lots and lots of ways.

Thank you for the feedback.

It's not an exaggeration when I say that 99% of Start11's history is the direct result of such feedback:

Are we able to implement all requests; no...  Even the ones we want to take time, resources, and testing.

As far as any corporate deployment, we have fortified our models and documentation for many common scenarios.  If you have other questions regarding this, I would be happy to answer them.
