error loading theme

I downloaded a theme from the internet - ".xptheme". When I attempt to load it from the file that I had downloaded I get:

Error: Failed to copy skin.

Could someone tell me the "trick" to download themes and suites - and get them to work?

Thanks,

Bob

This probably has to have a program to run it. For example, Windowblinds skins have to have the Windowblinds program installed to use the skin. Hope this helps.

Did you open the file once it downloaded or did you save it to file?

What do you mean by ".xptheme" ?? Is that the extension of the file, the name of the file, or an abbreviation for a website ?

.xptheme file extensions are for the old WinStyles themes. Many of them no longer work with the current version of Theme Manager. In order to help you better, it will be essential for you to tell us specifically with which theme you are having trouble, from where you downloaded it, and it would be helpful if you could tell us which version of ThemeManager you are currently running and which OS (WinXP, Win2k, WinME, Win9x) you are using.
