[DesktopX] How can you make simple textlinks to run programs

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the DesktopCustomization-scene. I'm right about configuring my Desktop for the first time, and wanted to have a link-style list to run my programs (just like I wrote it in HTML, you know, just plain text, captions and Links).

How can I do this?

PS: If that ain't possible in DesktopX (what I don't think actually), how else can one realize this?

If you make a new object, then under states, on the appearance tab you have radio buttons to check. Choose text.

Not sure if that is what you are getting at though.

Well, that gives me a plain Text. But how can you make links then? I mean, how can you tell DesktopX that he reacts on certain parts of the text, and not on the whole text only? And what would even be better: Can you somehow format the text (I mean parts of it, and not the text as a whole).

I had the idea that you create a a text-object for each link/caption, but I wasn't quite sure if that's good 'style'. I mean, can you

1.) Sum up multiple objects as one object?
2.) Does it have a negative effect on the performance?

Another idea was to have an object that loads html-files, but that would rather be an utopia - and how can you start programs from html... .
