a mini(m) preview?

For absolutely no other reason than the fact I'm getting bored with this skin already, I thought I'd give you all a preview of my work. This was to be my entry for the GUIOs 'minimalist' category, but is a long way from completion. I wanted something so totally unobtrusive that you wouldn't even notice you were using a skin at all. I'm aware that this looks similar to so many other skins out there, but when it comes to minimalist skins there's really not a whole lot you can do with a whole little.



Any ideas or opinions? As I said in a previous thread, the skins I'm working on at the moment are unlikely to be done in time for entry to the contest. They'll be released if and when they're done.

P.S. Yes, work does still continue on the GANT skin, albeit very slowly.

if you were to make the green a little murkier, kind of like a creamy color, the green skin i would rate around an 8+

The actual skin is the middle column (in blue), which consists of 3 seperate sub-skins of varying contrast. The columns to either side are just variations using WB's custom coloring.

I actually don't like it that much...This doesn't seem up to calibur with your other stuff, it's clean and all, but it's like so many others, as you said yourself..

Being as I'm not a big fan of minimalism, you might want to ignore my advice. I like it but if you could include something that might add a bit of contrast... such as essorants phase change skin... or the famous watercolor boxes.

Apoc: From the design of the skin it looks like forced custom coloring would be able to give you whatever color skin you wanted.

looks sweet!! gray makes it un distracting. maybe do a brand with a colored titlebar but not borders?

i know i know you could just turn border skinning off but i'd prefer it run as intended.

DesignCaddy doesn't like colored borders

Look nice, good proof that minimulistic fits in with some things but big huge bobbing whoppers are really REALLY nice also, colored to personal pref of the one clicking the buttons of course.

Heck with the wine glass I'll take a Mug!

I really like your skin. Very minimalistic, just how I like it.
I can't wait till it comes out.
I really like the green one.

Im not much of a skinner (I use powerpoint to make my skins), but I would give this a 10 out of 10.
