these sites could be cutting down on ripped work very easily by taking a dramatic stand. some of you might think it too harsh - but a site has to right to fine someone for uploading work they find to be ripped. all you need is a very well definined, and clearly presented, text that says 'if your work is found to have been taken from another and posted here, without permission, you will be fined xxx'. i bet most people would think twice about it. right now if someone rips someone elses work, the admins simply remove it. that person may never even think to come back and find out its gone, or will simply move on to post it somewhere else. point is its not gonna stop without some action.
yea yea you run into the troubles of actually penalizing people. you have to find their identify, locate them, demand the invoice, then follow through, and that itself costs money. but artwork is artwork.. this stuff matters. just my 2 cents.
