When will Edge/Chrome be skinnable again

I heard that due to some changes, Edge and Chrome are no longer skinnable at the moment. But when might this be fixed so I can skin them?

Yes, perhaps with lot of user request to Edge/Chrome to revert their UI engine to their older UI engine will make it possible again. Or, make is so as an option in their UI configuration.
