compact or not to compact

What problem?? - More info please

you know how u have the original style of the start menu with the programs and document feature the compact versions are short like for example minimus / when i load it up the program list is viewed how the original style of xp is instead of compact ... confused?? or mor recent look at the stetz windowblinds image left is compact right is original ... all my compact wb still function as original rather then compact even when compact is selected ...blah help anyone

In the WB Config, select the skin

Below the "Apply Skin" is a drop box for sub-skins

One of those is the compact skin

Stetz works fine here, just tried it, ok on both types

so is there a certain feature i have to change in my wb settings or my xp settings?

are you using the compact start menu subskin and are you using a build of wb4 that allows the use of compact start menus?

yes snidely the compact skins are not coming out compact but are showing original its not the problem with the skin but maybe my wb4 or setting im not sure

Which one do you have WB4.0 or WB4.1. Doesn't work on 4.0.

well there shouldn't be any problem because of the way compact startmenus work. all they are are startmenu's whose right pane has been resized so that the text is cut off. I don't know why it wouldn't work with 4.0, but would with 4.1

because wb4.1 and above can read the compact menu. 4.0 and below can't
