bootskin color problem please help !!!

i am going mental here i created the bmp image in photoshop saved it as a 8 bit bmp then went and resaved it as a 16 color (4-bit right??) bmp in paint. Now should it not be working properly right ? instead it only shows a piece of the image i created with the parts showing up haveing a orange tint to it what am i doing wrong

Bootskins MUST be 16 Colours (4 Bit) bitmap pictures.


And both palettes MUST be EXACTLY the same

I would suggest that you save the colour palette from the main grahic, and load it into the Progress graphic.

Or else make the main picture with the progress bar on it, and cut the progress bar graphic from the main graphic.

Need more info type Bootskin in the search box at the top of the page and you will get plenty of answers
