move the user picture

Is there a way to change the position of the user picture and user name on the start panel? I guess it can't be done directly with windowblinds but is there another way to do it, like modifying the system file where those kind of parameters are set?

You can move them somewhat in windowblinds.

Actually, you can't move them in Windowblinds. But, they can be moved in Skin Studio. You can remove the User Icon in Windowblinds, but manipulation is done in Skin Studio.

If you're feeling brave you don't even need SkinStudio. Any text editor will work. Just open the "xpstuff" file in the folder of the skin you wish to edit. Scroll down to the section entitled [StartPanel.UserPane] and change the value of any of the following parameters to whatever settings you wish:

"ContentLeft", "ContentRight", "ContentTop", or "ContentBottom".

Then save the file and reapply the skin.

*p.s.* Change the parameters in tiny increments at first until you get a feel for it.
