Here is the Registry Guide 2003 for all releases versions of Windows...

Thought some might be interested in it...

It is a .exe file which installs the program: I've downloaded and checked it out, no nasties

"launch windows desktop in a separate process"

By default Windows creates one multi-threaded Explorer process which contains the Desktop, Taskbar and all other explorer instances. If one of these instances fails, all instances will fail. When enabled, this setting causes Windows to create separate processes insulating them from other failures.

heh i sort of have that now, with object bar, object dock, and explorer all being seperate.. if one fails i use one of the others to launch it
