OK, can someone tell me why Samurize is so good?

Well? Can some one tell me please.

I like SysMetrix with MBM 5.

So what does Samurize do? Its funny because when I started using SysMetrix I also had Beatnik and they both are pretty nice programs and I still use them both.


Anyway, help a fellow skinner out.

Oh and while we at at it with asking questions... How do I set up MBM 5 to work with my system? I don't think it is working correctly.

Samurize has alot more configurable options. I played around with it some time ago, "patching" various info from different IRC channel onto my desktop using Samurize.

Kinda "useless" (for me) really, but it was only just for the fun of it

samurize allows you to run nearly fully customizable scripts that can display info. one could call it sysmetrix on steroids. Samurize can do several things more than sysmetrix, and usually look better doing it. however it is much more difficult to learn (I have been fooling around with it for about a week now and have hardly gotten anywhere on my own...it took me a whole day just to figure out how to change stuff beyond the already made configs).

I don't know a thing about mbm, so I can't help you there.

MBM or otherwise know as MotherBoard Monitor tells you what your CPU, fan speed and heat of the CPU is as well as other things.

How do you set it to work. i am not sure if it is working with my system or not. Right now it is telling my my computer tepm is 255 and my fan speed is 255rpm.

Just seeems strange.

CPU temp is Winbond 2. CPU Fan speed is W836x7HF-2.

Know... I don;t know what that means...

I used the configuration wizard for MotherBoard 5 but it doesn't have my Dell computer on its list.

Intel is on the list but I have no idea which on mine is or where exactly to look.

You probably have an 'Optiplex' board and I don't think MBM supports any of them....

One really good thing i noticed that samurize uses is png, have lovely shadows with system readouts. I might venture into it sometime soon if WC get a library for it, scripting looks evil but learning something new again is always fun.

When you set up MBM, try using all the connections then use the process of elimination to determine the ones you don't need. Ex, my Mobo only has 1 fan speed setting (max 100% of the time) so i eliminated the one that read 0. And i had 3 temp gauges, 1 of which never changed from 65C, so i removed it. using that, the higher temp will give you your CPU temp and the other is systemtemp.
