Ok, Lemme get this straight.. I have to PAY for a program that BARELY runs before I can download anything to make it useful?

WTF?

I just came here and registered and it won't let me download anything because I have to buy this product 1st? Then what is the point of having a trial on it? All I know is that I'm using Object Desktop 2.0 and yea, uhmmm - The stuff that comes with it is VERY unstable. I can sit here and look at pretty pictures of what people have done all day but that sure as hell isn't going to make me pay a cent. I've read enough grief about the program soooo.... Yea, bad business in my opinion. Set up like a monopoly to the point its redundant. This is one customer who will never buy a product from you guys. Or Stardock. Ever.

ok the antiamerican comment did you in for me right off the bat. it was baseless, pointless, and has nothing to do with stardock. you're just another freeloading pest that would rather bitch and complain then sit and try to figure out a problem that is most likely your own fault. to top it off, you'll bad mouth the people here to gain what? pump up your manly parts to compensate for your ignorance? go away.

In the UK it's a strange kind of a swear word and it's meaning relies heavily on the tone of voice or intention behind it's use. It can be used in an almost affectionate manner between good friends, but at it's worst it is an extremely insulting anatomical reference only a few rungs down from the very top of the swearword ladder.

I agree with you for the following reasons:
1) The site requires no money to maintain(I.E. computers and computer servers are free).
2)Webspace is completely free.
3)No one needs to get paid to make and develop the programs.
4)No one needs to get paid to have money to buy food, clothing and shelter.
4)Stardock is a business that doesn't need to make money to stay in business.
Does any of this make sense? Nope. Then, I can't agree with you.

Thats why they call it 'Trial' It means that you try it and if you like it, you buy it. If you dont like it, you dont buy it. Same goes with the downloads. You are a visitor, therefore, you will be given a limit amount of downloads, if you like the work displayed and wish to download more, then you can purchase a subscription or any of SD products and... whalaaahh...UNLIMITED downloads

but just to even really get a look at what it can do I have to pay?


Hahahaha!!! Dont tell me that you are one of those "lucky' person that gets everything for FREE.
