Taskbar diasappering!

Could anyone tell me how I de-activate my taskbar from disappering, when I maximize a window? PLEASE? It's driving me crazy! I think it's something I've done in DesktopX, but I haven't got a clue how

Right click on Task Bar / Lock Task Bar

Right click on task bar--->Properties--->Check Keep the taskbar on top of other windows
