bootskin booted my computer wrong

I do believe that it has. additionally since it doesn't affect your system files you shouldn't of had to use a recovery disc. It is probably a problem with a bios antivirus scanner, or some other system problem that somehow when run with bootskin crashed your computer. bootskin by itself is completely safe as far as I know

Next time...Just start in Safe Mode, and Change bootskin to windows default....
...I know from experience...lol, I changed a progress bar to 640X480 and ran it (talk about freaking out)....

The Bootskin program is perfectly safe as it does not change/alter any of the system files, Simply Put: it just points a variable to a different direction and makes it look elswhere.

The could be one possibility where it will not work, and that is on Windows 98, not quite sure what it would do there

A bad installation coul;d possibly screw up a system but not badly

Also a corrupt or badly created skin will also screw up but again not badly

Other than that there are no problems, try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it gets sorted out

Not such a time bomb, as those slight hiccups will not destroy or damage the computer.
