Resource Hacking is not something we wildly promote as 'mistakes' can cause unfortunate results.
Also, Hacking these resources is generally a violation of the Company's EULA [learn about that one first]...and did I mention that this site is owned by Stardock which means.............
Kona....various skinning forms originated by people hacking proggies to create the changes. Winamp's first skin was a hack....which led to all those since.
The only issue is with 'legality' and safety. I've hacked things and killed them when I got it wrong....and that's a fun issue if it's a system file that's critical to the OS...

I think you'll find that the EULA tells you what Stardock 'wants and doesn't want'.
You are granted permission to use the program, not to abuse it by reverse engineering...
