What you can do to verify, is use Fences 5 free 30 days trial and see if it is working for you.

That doesn't answer his question. I too bought Fences 4 and I do not want "software-as-a-service". Why is there no fair lifetime license update from Fences 4 to Fences 5, only full-price AGAIN ?
After un- and reinstalls version 4 works fine. No need for v5 on a rental-basis.
