Groupy

does not bring up groupy group of photos

I have a set of jpgs (6-7) which I reference regularly.  After I save them as a Groupy group, when I open the group, if simply opens the top level "Pictures" folder which contains ALL jpgs.

How can I make this work as intended?

TIA,

Richard

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, need to know more. When you group that 6-7 jpgs. What application you use to open it? Please post screenshot of these jpgs in a groupy group so we understand it better.

Thank you.

Okay, here we go:

  1. I create a group of jpgs from Explorer by right clicking on a jpg and select OPEN WITH and then pick "Photos":

  2. In this case I named it "mygroup" and saved it.

  3. Then I search for mygroup and find 3 files:

  4. opening the folder containing the *.groupy file and clicking on it brings up TWO windows, one of which is what I wanted (this is the 1st time it has worked!).  It's the window behind the front one. I usually get just the front one:

  5. Clicking on the link in
    "C:\Users\richa\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Saved Groups"  or
    "C:\Users\richa\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent"
brings up the ALL PHOTOS window (clicking on the left tab, it's empty):

  6. THEN, however, if I close all the Explorer and Photos windows and try to open any of those links again, I get this bizarre mashup of groupy screenshots, and can't ever get back that actual group I created. It's so weird!:

So bottom line, It might work once, but then never does again.

Of the 3 files, which is the on that SHOULD work and how can I get it to reliably work?

Thanks!

Richard

Thanks, its look like Photos does not send to Groupy which files was open when the save groupy was created. Please try using different application like MS Paint. I tested with Paint and it work
