[Groupy 2] Saved Group issue

Hi there,

I have saved a group containing two apps, TextPad and Everything. (https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quJ21vK)

However when I launch the group from Saved Groups in the Start menu, only TextPad launches.

You can download the .groupy file at https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0uLzOdd

Windows version info at https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0uJvAv0

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I try reproduce your issue on my Win10 system. But, I can open the groupy group together without issue. Everything open up without issue with TextPad. I notice one difference between my Saved groupy with yours. Refer below.

[Group]
GroupCount=2
GroupLeft=246
GroupTop=182
GroupRight=1040
GroupBottom=881
GroupMax=0
Locked=0
[GroupyEntry1]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files (x86)\Everything\Everything.exe
APPID={7C5A40EF-A0FB-4BFC-874A-C0F2E0B9FA8E}\Everything\Everything.exe
NewTabName=
RunElevated=0
NoPatternMatching=0
CommandLine=
WorkingDirectory=C:\Program Files (x86)\Everything
Target=C:\Program Files (x86)\Everything\Everything.exe
MatchingClass=EVERYTHING
[GroupyEntry2]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files\TextPad 8\TextPad.exe
APPID={6D809377-6AF0-444B-8957-A3773F02200E}\TextPad 8\TextPad.exe
NewTabName=
RunElevated=0
NoPatternMatching=0
CommandLine=
WorkingDirectory=C:\Program Files\TextPad 8
Target=C:\Program Files\TextPad 8\TextPad.exe
MatchingClass=TextPad-8

In yours the section on "Everything". On mine, there is no "CommandLine="-startup"

[GroupyEntry2]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files\Everything\Everything.exe
APPID={6D809377-6AF0-444B-8957-A3773F02200E}\Everything\Everything.exe
NewTabName=
RunElevated=0
NoPatternMatching=0
CommandLine="-startup"
WorkingDirectory=C:\Program Files\Everything
Target=C:\Program Files\Everything\Everything.exe
MatchingClass=EVERYTHING

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Two observations:

1. After disabling the option to start Everything on startup in the app preferences and rebooting, the "-startup" entry in .groupy is still then when saving the group. The only way to remove same is to do so manually in my text editor and re-save the file.

2. After removing "-startup" as above, clicking on the .groupy file opens both apps (previously only TextPad opened) . . . but they are not grouped.

Also I notice my installed location different than yours

WorkingDirectory=C:\Program Files (x86)\Everything
Target=C:\Program Files (x86)\Everything\Everything.exe
MatchingClass=EVERYTHING

vs yours

WorkingDirectory=C:\Program Files\Everything
Target=C:\Program Files\Everything\Everything.exe
MatchingClass=EVERYTHING

Thank you,

I have grouped in 3 tabs (and saved) my MS outlook inbox, calendar and to do apps. When I open saved group, it just opens 2 tabs both being my outlook inbox....

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe it is best if you start your own new thread on your issue. Also, please include details information on your system and post (copy & paste) your .groupy file in there. Should look something like my post in reply#1.

Thank you.
