Skins not working on Taskbar?

I've tried uninstalling everything related to WindowBlinds and reinstalling...then applying every default theme that came with the program as well as multiple downloadable ones and it's the same on all of them.

The start button, winow frames and far right edge of task bar are themed but the task bar itself is not. how do I fix this?

You need the update to WindowBlinds for the recent Windows update.

This is available as a preview on the forums or it should be available as a release version next week.

my release version of WindowBlinds11 is up-to-date. I also downloaded the "beta" and this issue still persists. It's still broken.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Unfortunately this still did not work, Taskbar is still the solid Windows 11 color.

Try Cleanboot: https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#cleanboot. Something might be blocking WB and Start11 from working properly.

While I appreciate the help that is too much work to try and find the issue, when it can be numerous things if Clean boot doesn't work. I will just have to wait until 3 or 4 updates from now and hope it's fixed. I shouldn't have to jump through trial and error as an end user who purchased a product that should work for windows 10/11. I understand things get corrupt or blocked but a purge of a program and all it's files that was working just fine 48 hours ago and I haven't changed anything on my end doesn't work after all that, I don't really want to continue digging, at least not right at this moment. I might give it a try later but how this hasn't happened to anyone else on Windows 11 is intriguing, I don't use any other programs or apps that mess with the look and feel of windows, just WindowBlinds11.

Thanks for the swift replies. If and when I do a Clean Boot, I'll post the outcome here.

Wait, I just notice, don't you have Start11 installed in your system? Start11 need to have the taskbar and Startpanel be skin by Windowblinds. Below is what I get when I uninstalled Start11 from my system.

This works! Thanks for the help! Start11 and WB11 are BOTH needed for the themes to work properly.

Yes, Start11 needed for WB11 to skin the Startpanel and taskbar area in Windows 11.

Given that the start button is skinned it would make sense to just remove that feature from WindowBlinds if the taskbar isn't going to get skinned along with it.

I recently purchased WindowBlinds and I have the same issue. It's not a good solution to ask users to purchase additional (Start11) product. The skin should work in WB. Is there any plan to release fixed WB?

Thanks.

Start 11 is required to skin the taskbar under windows 11. It's due to how Microsoft rebuilt the taskbar compared to windows 10. Start11 has stuff in it to reimplement some of the missing features required for windowblinds to skin. If you don't have it installed, you won't get a fully skinned taskbar. No way around it. Microsoft just keeps breaking things with each update.

The latest beta of WindowBlinds 11 should work ok for the taskbar background.  It will not skin the taskbar buttons themselves without start11 but thats not a bug as the native taskbar is not theme aware.
