I apologize for forgetting to tell you the most basic stuff! It’s a little embarrassing because I’m actually a computer corporate helpdesk analyst for 25 years experience so that was a bit of a rookie mistake on my part.
I am using it on a windows 11 machine in windows 10 configurations. I have tried holding down the shift key to drag things around and it doesn’t seem to work. I also have set the configuration for it to always act as though the shift key is depressed and neither is working properly. I actually regret going to windows 11, but I’m too far along with having it under windows 11 configurations to go backwards. I also figure I’ll have to eventually move to Windows 11 anyway, so in for a penny in for a pound so to speak.
One of the more frustrating glitches that I am experiencing is, I can’t figure out how to activate a specific group, so that if I come across an item in my basic start programs list that I want to pin to that specific group when I write click on it and select pin to start. It will go to the correct group instead of going to the last group that I was working on.
I do have an additional question about adding items to groups. I happen to have a couple of folders in my basic start menu list that grouped some programs together from a suite of programs, that being Adobe programs is there anyway to add that folder to a group that I called adobe because I have a few variations of Adobe programs being year specific as in from 2020, 2021 and 2022. I keep them organized that way because when I am going through some tutorials or wanting to learn some new features, I will know which program version to open because sometimes there are features in older versions that are not in newer versions.
I appreciate any assistance that can be given. I am currently recuperating from major spine surgery, but I am trying to keep up with my technology and getting my start menu. Organized is one of the easier things for me to focus on.
Sincerely,
