Seamless Build 3.57 00103 Secondary Mouse Zooming

This morning lost ability to zoom mouse on secondary.  When attempting to zoom on secondary, it zooms on primary and has no effect on secondary.  Both primary and secondary are running Build 00103.  Also suddenly having multiple connection issues where it has been stable for over 12 months.  Primary is running Windows 10 Home, secondary is running Windows 11 Vers 22H2 (both have windows versions up to date) and both are hard wired to router.  Have restarted both machines (several times).  Have tried mouse connected directly to secondary, issue remains.  The zooming seems to only be a problem within the game Im running and persists even if using different game accounts - so I am assuming its not an accidental change to game settings on one account.  Would appreciate any hints or suggestions as game is now unplayable on secondary as is.  Thanks

I assume 'zooming' = middle mouse wheel roll up and down, yes?

I gather that you mean its ONLY that game and scrolling works fine, on say webpages, yes?

If that same mouse is plugged into the Secondary, does it then work USING that mouse?

I am going to take a guess and this game is Everquest, yes?

If so, please see:

Thank you for the prompt reply.

The game is indeed Everquest.  The thread you referred me to, is a thread for a problem that was resolved in April 2022.  I have played EQ daily using Multiplicity (which has been excellent for this purpose) for several years, my problem appeared today.

I have indeed tried the mouse from the primary plugged directly to the secondary machine and the lack of zooming (ie using the mouse scroll wheel) persists.  I have tried other mouse(s) in both primary and secondary and the problem persists.

Many of EQ's servers have a true box ruleset - hence Multiplicity's popularity with EQ players.  Multiplicity allows us to smoothly coordinate multiple characters using multiple computers, as required by the truebox ruleset.  The zoom on secondary computers is a pretty big deal and currently I am unable to play more than one character at a time.  Apart from this zoom issue, as previously indicated there is also very poor connectivity with Multiplicity reporting that the connection is broken because the secondary took too long to respond.

I have checked that all drivers are updated, all operating systems are up to date, all machines are running the same build of Multiplicity.  I am not an IT expert in any way.  If there is more I should do please point me in the right direction.  Thanks

I want to be clear on what I asked.

If you plug the mouse into the Secondary, physically stay at that Secondary and use the mouse scroll, does it work?  Again, that test removes Multiplicity from the equation, you are actually at the Secondary using the mouse scroll for the test.

If it does not work, clearly it's not an issue with MP.

If it does work, but still not when using MP from a Primary to a Secondary, I am afraid we have done all we can to accommodate EQ and how it seems to restrict its proper use.

I use Multiplicy KVM to play EverQuest on multiple computers, and with the recent EQ upgrade to 64-bit servers, Multiplicity is "broken" now. Keyboard works fine, but if I use the mouse to move (right click) or look around (left click), it duplicates that action on all other connected computers. This was happening on the Test server several weeks ago, and is now happening on the Live server after today's patch/update. I'm not the only person having this issue.

Update: This is the build that will resolve the issue.  It should be installed on all PCs that use Multiplicity:

It may be prudent to post in that thread to see if others have found a workaround for what you are detailing.

Thank you for the help.  When I plug the mouse into the secondary with multiplicity not running, the mouse scroll functions normally.  I am using the correct build of multiplicity on both pc's.  What I have perhaps stuffed up is my settings on the secondary for multiplicity.  I recently changed the secondary from wifi to ethernet and the issue I am having with multiplicity only appeared after that.  Will reinstall it on the secondary and see if that fixes it.  Thanks for your time.

Purged on secondary and reinstalled.  Mouse scrolling working within Everquest if only playing on secondary.  If using primary and secondary to play Everquest, mouse scrolling works only on primary and not on secondary.  Will review the topic linked above to see if there is a workaround.

And don't be shy about Private Messaging others in that Everquest thread to see what they are doing.

Totally fixed - it was a problem I created myself by removing a mouse from the secondary laptop.  I didn't realise EQ needed a mouse in each machine.  Phew - back in the game!  Thank you all
