Version 3.57 on Windows7 ?

After installation it pops-up Web page of Stardock not the Activation GUI

Hi, sorry to disturb. I have an issue on Windows7 (site said that it is supported). When finish installation of Multiplicity 3.57 instead of opening the Activation GUI it pops-up Web Page of Stardock.

I understand that  Windows7 is EOL but if Multiplicity 3.57 it is not supported in Win7, please remove the info about Windows7.

Thank you in advance if you have some advice for me :-)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know more on your Windows 7 system.

  1. Windows full version number. Use Winver.exe.
  2. System running on Which CPU? ARM, Intel or AMD?

Thanks

It looks like the version 3.57 file on web site is partially corrupted. Every time I download it behaving same. Does not work on Windows 7 but working on Windows 10. However, if I use Update menu from 3.44 to 3.57, then it works.

That will happen if the PC's Windows root certificates are really old.

No doubt this PC is, or has been for a very long time, internet isolated.

A Windows Update usually fixes that but you can DL them manually.

Hi Sean,

Thank you very much for your advise!

I went to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/support-for-urgent-trusted-root-updates-for-windows-root-certificate-program-in-windows-a4ac4d6c-7c62-3b6e-dfd2-377982bf3ea5  and installed the KB but it did not help.
Please, do you know which specific certificate I do need to install?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Sean,

No, these Windows 7 Pro machines are offline. I am looking for easy and elegant way to fix the installation for version 3.57.
On these machines installation completed correctly with version 3.44 but it fails with vesrion 3.57.

Thank you in advance for your help!
