Groupy shortcut will not group all apps together

Hi,

So I made a Groupy shortcut with multiple message apps. When I click on it, it groups all apps together, except one : Signal.

When I do it manually Signal does group. It's only when I open it via a Groupy shortcut that it's not grouping automatically.

It was one of the functionalities that made me buy Groupy... It's kind of a let down it doesn't work :/

Would be great if you could fix it or add it to your list. Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Can you post the "xxxxx.groupy" file here. You can open it with Notepad.exe, copy those text and paste it here.

Thanks

Are you running with UAC disabled on your computer?

Okay now it seems to do the same with Discord. Discord and Signal won't automatically group.

End of Neil's quote

Yup.

But after enabling it, the only thing that changed is that now Signal and Discord automatically group together, but refuse to group with the other apps.

Plus, clicking "Yes" to every app needing user control to group is kind of tedious, and I'd like to not have to do that.

EDIT : Signal and Discord won't even group together consistently.

So for now I disabled UAC, because I prefered not to have to manually click "Yes" to every prompt.

I also prevented Signal and Discord from opening on startup, and something changed.

Now, when clicking the Groupy shortcut, Discord does group automatically, but Signal still don't. And it doesn't even open in a window anymore, it straight up goes to the notification area. Even though I have it disabled in Signal Settings.

(for proof : when I first launch Signal without the Groupy shorcut, it opens normally, in a normal window)

And the odd thing is : when I click on Signal in the notification area to maximize it, it does automatically add itself to the group.

I'd still like for it not to behave like that and to automatically group with the rest of the apps when I click on the Groupy shortcut.

Did you get this fixed? Groupy one never opened my comms apps (Telegram, Teams, Slack, or signal) in a group. it opened them all, just not grouped.. now im testing Groupy 2 and it does the same exact thing. im not buying this again (in less than a month no less) if this function isnt going to work.
