Happy Thanksgiving....

Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys and your families in the States. Have a good one

Right, must get back to trawling the skinning web libraries of the world looking for hidden gems. It only took half an hour for a page to load on DA last night - suppose i should be grateful for small mercies. It's at times like this that you really appreciate how good this site is and how well organised it is. I've got a serious health issue now which the doctor tells me is defined in the medical world as WCLDD......work it out for yourselves

It would be happier if I did not have to work today. Oh well, another day, another dollar that the US government takes from my pay.

ahhhhhhhhhhh

19 pounds of oven browned perfection, much of it waiting to be frozen for meals the month long. Bones simmering with bay leaves, onions, peppers (and maybe later some new ginger) for soup.

And the sure knowledge that projects I have long struggled for are near fruition.....

....does it get any better?

Oh... ya. Pretty new dresses and shoes that my computer to wear......

........still cooking on that turkey soup! Nearing completion now and house smelling of bay, sage, spice................

Kona... the best way I always found to make sure things turned out right was to do step up and take charge. Do 'em myself. Last bad Thanksgiving meal I had was the one I didn't cook! Perhaps it might surprise you to look around and find YOU are the leader of the family....

Especially good is the stretching the feast out for days.... the soups, the turkey salads.

/me is feeling' domestic right now .....

to look around and find YOU are the leader of the family....

since my grandma died last year, It seems I am the leader now since my mom is sick most of the time. I don't know.... I hate being a leader.

Saturday is the big thankgiving dinner with ALL of the family, not just me and moom and my sister. Looking forward to it.
