hiding in fences

On my old computer files on the desktop would merge around the fences, but after i installed it on a new computer, they hide behind the fences.  i have compared all the settings, but can´t find the sollution. What am i overlooking here?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know these informations

  1. You on Windows 7,8,10 or 11? Also need full Windows version number. Use Winver.exe
  2. You on Fences 3 or 4? Full version number also please.

I think, it is best to move all new icons/shortcut into A Fence so Fences can manage it. Create a temporary Fences with Fences rule so all new icons/shortcuts that come into desktop will be automatically move into that Fence. Refer screenshot below on how to create the rule.
