Drag and Drop

I've had Multiplicity KM installed on my desktop and laptop for some time now. I recently upgraded to Multiplicity KMV on my desktop specifically to be able to drag and drop windows between the desktop and laptop. But for some reason it doesn't work (I've enabled the feature in the KMV version) ? Do I have to upgrade the version of Multiplicity on my laptop to a KMV version as well? That doesn't seem right to me. I've tried using the same activation number on the laptop version and it says it is already using that license on another computer? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
