Multiplicity on Remote Desktop client

Good Morning,

I’ve been using Multiplicity for a few months now and it’s been great!

I have a new need now that I can’t quite figure out.

I just set up two remote desktops that I access in two separate smaller windows on a primary PC. I have additional computers nearby which run multiplicity. The primary computer running the remote desktops does not run multiplicity. I have a need for Multiplicity’s “seamless” and button press pass through to work on the two remote desktops, while not pulling the primary into the multiplicity mix. (I don’t want my primary’s keystrokes being broadcast to the other machines).

As designed, when remote desktop is activated, the computer being accessed goes into lock mode and the desktop is viewable on the computer accessing it. The issues arises when I try to use seamless. The mouse and keyboard are usable on the computers lock screen and not the Remote Desktop.

Is this function at all possible?

This is what does not make sense to me out of the gate and could boil down to semantics:

The primary computer running the remote desktops does not run multiplicity. I have a need for Multiplicity’s “seamless” and button press pass through to work on the two remote desktops, while not pulling the primary into the multiplicity mix.

It's not a 'Primary' if MP is not running on it.

Second, and I can't be sure I am reading this correctly, you are asking for MP functionality without MP being installed?

I probably didn't explain that so well. Let me try again.

I have four computers at my desk, each with its own monitor. 3 of those computers are linked with Mulitplicity, the fourth is not.

I have two computers in another room, with Multiplicity, that I remote desktop into from one of my desk computers. The remote desktops  are displayed on a large monitor on my desk that is attached to the computer not running Multiplicity.

I'd like to control those remote computers with Multiplicity. I have linked remote computers to Multiplicity for seamless mouse and keyboard use.

When I move the mouse over to those computers, the mouse does not "jump" over to the remote computer.

I have an odd setup. Another MMO player here. I play a main character on my main computer and I don't want my keystrokes broadcast to my other computers. The characters that are played on those other computers are played by auto following my main character and then I use one keypress (passthrough) to send a single command to all the other characters, which do various things based on that single keystroke.

I'm using remote desktop, because I want to limit how many physical monitors I have on my desk. It would be fantastic if I could specify in Multiplicity to only broadcast specific keys, but I don't think that's an option.

It is not an option I am afraid.
